Biography
Sarabeth Rees is the Executive Director of StolenYouth, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing sex trafficking and empowering survivors. Passionate about bringing awareness to the issue of trafficking, widely considered to be one of the great global crises of our time, Sarabeth has devoted considerable time and energy throughout her career to supporting survivors in need and building sustainable prevention strategies in various parts of the country.
Prior to joining StolenYouth, Sarabeth worked primarily in the management consulting industry, where she helped Global Fortune 500 companies navigate complex, high-stakes business challenges and advised leaders on five continents. Most recently, Sarabeth was a senior director at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where she led teams focused on workforce transformation, change management, and communications strategy. Her previous roles include serving as a partner at the Hyalite Group, Managing Partner at Watson Rees, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at a media start-up along with additional global, cross-industry consulting experiences at Booz Allen Hamilton, BearingPoint and Burson-Marsteller.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Sarabeth currently sits on the board of the Joyful Heart Foundation in New York City. She was previously the Chair of the Board of HAVEN, where she successfully led an $8M capital campaign to build a 40-bed shelter for survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
Sarabeth holds an MBA from Georgetown University and an AB from Duke University. She holds a Certificate in Leadership from Yale, and a Certificate in International Mediation and Conflict Resolution from Erasmus University Rotterdam/George Washington University through the Institute of International Mediation and Conflict Resolution. She is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), has traveled to more than 80 countries, and lives in Seattle, Washington.
