Biography

Philanthropist and community activist. Co-founder of Global Partnerships and The Seattle International Foundation.  Member of the Advisory Board of the University of Washington Center for Human Rights and founding member of the Washington Women's Foundation. Former board member of the Medina Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation, and One World NOW. BA and MA in Psychology and Counseling from Antioch University. Recipient of an honorary doctorate degree in humanities from Seattle University, the YMCA's A K Guy Award, Senator Cantwell's Women of Valor Award, the PSBJ Women of Influence Aware, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Unsung Heroes Award. Former volunteer with Accion U.S., Women's Funding Alliance, Habitat for Humanity, and Seattle Children's Hospital.
